What are the basics of Islam?

The basics are what a Muslim believes and what a Muslim does. The six pillars of faith are the beliefs, and the five pillars of Islam are the acts of worship built on them. Good character is how that faith shows in everyday life.

What is the difference between the pillars of Islam and the pillars of faith?

The five pillars of Islam are actions: the shahada, prayer, charity, fasting and Hajj. The six pillars of faith are beliefs held in the heart. Each has its own page here.
